Genetic vs Environmental factor !

Friday, November 30, 2007

One fine day after doing his art works, my 4 years old son decided to give himself a new hair cut. It did not do a lot of damage because I discovered his act just on time.

I did not know whether to laugh or cry about the event because I remembered my late great grandmother told me I used to cut my own hair when no one was around. I wonder if there is a genetic factor in behavior ? I am sure this is not an environmental factor because my son was not around when I did my hair cut when I was 4 years old.

What do you think, my readers ?

Ginger man and JJ

It is the time of the year where you see ginger bread man cookies every where in the store. We don't stock a lot of snacks at home but yesterday I decided to buy a ginger man cookies for JJ. And you can see that he is so happy with his ginger man cookies.

Do you buy ginger bread man cookies for your kids ? In fact, there was a woman asked me can she kept the cookies till Christmas ? I also don't know the answer, how about you ? Can this ginger bread man cookies be kept till Christmas ?

Do you feel not being appreciated at times ?

Friday, August 24, 2007

We all feel that at times don't we ?

My 4 years old is my cheer leader. He told me something that brought some much tears to my eyes, (good tears :), though).

He said to me one night, : "Mama, you look so beautiful with this dress. You are a princess and papa is the prince.".

Whatever unappreciated moments that I felt, it just melt away :).

Life of a dedicated father

Sunday, June 03, 2007

These are some snips of how dedicated my husband is to our little boy.

I had made many stupid decisions in my life but marrying him is the best decision I have ever made in my life.

Though, I had a lot of negatives remarks when people heard of my internet relationship, but I had some very strong support. The 2 strong support were Neelam and my ex boss, Mr Kim. I had to say my ex boss Mr Kim was one of the rare kind of bosses in this world. He told me he was very sad that I had to leave his company ( I used to be one of his right hand women) but he wanted me to have a family. I used to run Informatics school in Brunei. I had my own apartment or rather the whole school compound. It was lonely being single. What do you do when you come home and there's the empty 4 walls ?

I strongly believe that man and woman are mean to get married except for some exception cases. It is good to have a family. My boy often come around me and kiss me at my cheek, my lip, my hair and said 'Mama, I love you.' I thought that is so priceless, it is worth more than being voted as the most successful manager in the Informatics world.

For those of you who are single, I pray that someday you will find your soul mate !

You know your child has grown...

When he said :" Mama, it is not Wal-Mar, it is Wal-Mart with a 't'.". You wonder where has the times gone ?

Guys are guys !

After reading Zewt entry abt liverfools, I can't help laughing but start an entry abt guys and ball sports. There are very few guys I knew who is not interested in ball sports :)-. One of the 'die hard' non ball sports is my dearest father in law. The guy does not understand why bother to chase after 1 ball, why not put a couple more balls in the field. I thought that is funny of him to say that cos that is the whole reason abt ball game, 1 ball and lot of silly guys chasing after that 1 ball.

My dad was a die hard bolla sepak guy, he followed our local foot ball game religiously. It was a joke among the family that one day dad met my brother while squeezing in the small doggy hole of the football field pagar (fence) :):). Both father and son squeeze their body through the doggy hole to get in the foot ball game cos there's too many people and the stadium was full. The people locked the gate of the stadium , but still a lot of fans still managed to squeeze into the stadium through that doggy hole. Can u believe what man can do for their foot ball game ?

Well, one yr while Liverpool was playing Manchester, my mom was in Aust visiting us leaving my 'die hard' football fan dad at home. He was so into the football game that he did not realized that a few burglars broke into our home ; took away his Rolex watch and a few of our furnitures while he was cheering for his Manchester guys :):).

My brother is a 'mancho' kind of guy, he played football, swim (represent his school), he played sepak takraw etc... So, it is nothing amazing that this guy is a football mania. But to know that my gentle quiet librarian husband is a die hard football fan is totally unexpected.

College and professional football is a big biz here. We live in a city where most biz revolved around the university cos it is the largest state university in the S.E. The gator is the mascort of the football team for university of Florida ; and the Gator is also the mascort of the University of Florida. Every where u can find this 'bouya' status all over the town.

So, you can imagine the frenzie atmosphere here last year, when Gator won the national championship both in football and basketball.

My husband is a 'closet die hard' Tennessee fan. He spent most his growing up years in Tennessee but now he works for UF and live in gator town where supporting other team is a sin or make fun with, so the poor guys has to live in the closet to be a die hard Tennessee fan.

The guy also make it a point that we have to go to every college football stadium on our traveling trip.

Last year summer we took a long road trip that covered quite a number of state, Mississippi, Louisiana , Alabama, and Texas. We mesti has to visit both football stadium, FSU (Lousiana state uni) and UTA (uni of texas at Austin). Everyone of these teams has a mascort, FSU is the tiger and UTA is the longhorn (bull).

The guy just has to post :) [fsu]

The famous five

Tuesday, May 15, 2007

I am not sure about you but when we were young (me and my 2 younger siblings), we love the famous five by Enid Blyton; Five on a Treasure Island, The secret seven etc...
We used to talk about our own tree house so much, we dreamed about it too. My brother did make a small tree house in a small tree near the empty land near our home
Last year when I saw this tree house, I was nearly in tears. I wished my siblings were here with me. My husband enjoyed the tree hous
e as much as our son :)-.

What are some of your sweat childhood memories ?
