Capitalist and friend

Some of you might think that I am so money minded capitalist but you might not know the other side of me, sentimental and very emotional :)-.

If you see the number of friends that I kept for life, you know I am someone who treasure deep and meaningful friendship.

I knew this gal when she was 21, I was 6years older than her. When I first knew her, she was in her 1st yr of architecture degree. The 2 of us has developed a very close friendship that it really broke our heart do part. She is very artistic and still is, she handmade this card for me and I have been carrying it where ever I relocate. It has been with me for the last 17years. The day I left Australia to embark my round the world trip before I returned to Malaysia.

This sunset view was taken from the apartment that I lived for a long time. Many oversea Malaysian students had dinned, slept, practice songs , and spend many of their lovely afternoon at my apartment. The apartment had a wonderful view of Sydney sky :). That pointed building was a church building near by. My apartment was on Brown street, along King street, anyone who has lived in Sydney would know King street !




















La Mer - the sea, the beach named the rock ; and of course the Australian gum nut that she collected as part of memory for my Australia days.








































It is wonderful to have long lasting friendship that you can keep for life !

Do you keep your friends for life or you treat them like your underwear ?

I don't have a lot of friends because I am choosy and can be cocky at times. But, there are a few of them I keep them for life.

I knew these 3 girls since we were 7. We were classmate in our primary school, Chung Hua Primary School No.3. We even went high school together.

Of the girl has became widow 6years ago , a year after I left M. He was one of my high school classmates. The other one also married one of my high school classmates, they live happily after in Kuching; and finally the other one, she is not only my classmate but also my neighbor for many years. There were very few girls in my form 4 Science class. There were 13 girls out of 48 students. There were 7 of us who got along very well, they called us the seven golden flowers (Chinese school lah, what do u expect :):):). The other 3 whom you did not see in the pictures, one of them resides in London; 2 of them whom I have grown apart (not only distance but friendship, in short we gadoh lah (:, not gam anymore). So last year, when I got home, I asked them to minum kopi. I think it must be hard for them not to invite the other 2 whom I no longer talk to. I feel bad that I put them into such predicament, but such is life !

We met at a trendy cafe @ Padungan road, chatted from 2pm to 7pm then we walked cross the street to have dinner @ Taiwan noddles house.

Most of my friends are for keep !

What about you ? You keep your friends or you change them like your underwear ? no change busuk lah :):).

I think what he want me to do is write a blog entry about worship food as God.
Aiyo, cilaka, how can ? God provide us with food, how to worship food leh ?

Anyway, I like to cook anything that is simple, does not require a lot of times to prepare. I am very fortunate lah, I marry a husband who is very 'chin chai' with food,everything I cook, he eats lah.

I bought a self-clean oven from Lowes last year, so I like bake more than any other mode of cooking, becoz ? simple lah,I don't have to clean a lot after I cook lah :):). Oven self clean lah.

This is what I cook this morning for our lunch ? Frittata. It is one of the easiest foods you could made. My modified version is bread base. I cubed the whole grain bread as the base and used the left over ingredients that I had from my Alfredo Fettucinie.















I love Salmon; I baked salmon with Rosemary and themes a lot.













Then of course living in the South, you cannot avoid Chilli. Chilli is basically ground turkey or beef with beans, spaghetti sauce.















Since we live in Florida, there are plenty of seafood. I love to cook mussels with lots of herbs :)-















And of course, not forgetting prawn, we have plenty here. I love to cook leek with prawn :)-.














To wrap up, of course, I cannot leave out our Southerner style fried chicken. It is licky good !
